Order Lifecycle Manager

DHL East Midlands Gateway - Kegworth


As Order Lifecycle Manager, you'll lead the order life cycle management 10 step process, with particular focus elements of 1) order receipt and processing, 2) order management, 3) efficient flow in to a) DHL's warehousing and transport planning teams b) site Direct dispatch processes, 10) invoice and adjustment to ensure our KP and DHL teams are able to execute the delivery of ‘Great Service Every Day’. 


As a key member of Central Supply Chain Management team, with trust and purpose, lead by example demonstrating collaborative values and behaviours with internal and external partners and supporting all KP colleagues to ensure that we are ‘Easy To Do Business With’.


What will you be doing?

  • Responsible for managing the day to day team and order life cycle process, to ensure accurate processing and timely release to warehousing and transport functions
  • Responsible for ensuring any S&OE team business decisions and priorities are accurately executed within our order management process
  • Responsible as primary contact with DHL Manton Wood operation and adherence to KPI targets
  • Responsible for identifying root cause issues in the order management process, proposing relevant solutions and managing the improvement actions through to conclusion, to provide excellent customer service · Responsible for ensuring correct and ongoing levels of system and process training are maintained across own team
  • Responsible for using own and team’s operational knowledge to deliver continuing standardisation, efficiency, accuracy and automation across process and with customers
  • Responsible for alignment with KP Collaboration / Sales teams to ensure order efficiency volumes, frequency etc are monitored and targets achieved or exceeded
  • Responsible for supporting KP colleagues on effective processing of NPD, pack changes, seasonal activities, shippers flows
  • Responsible for maintaining effective team structure, team succession planning, internal performance management, any new recruitment
  • Responsible for co-ordination and escalation of process and JDE system enhancements to KP IT team

Job requirements

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience of FMCG or 3PL order management (ERP) process and/or customer service responsibilities (necessary) 
  • Experience of managing teams and people development 
  • Experience of continuous improvement particularly manual to automated processes
  • Management of both short term execution activities, but also longer term / strategic plans and change management
